Defending the Title

A Clear Goal for the Season Finale at the Ring

On October 10, Nico Bastian will compete for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring in the #904 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. After winning the championship in Barcelona, the team heads into the season finale with momentum on its side.

Francorchamps/Nürburgring, September 2026. The title will be decided at NLS10: On October 10, Mühlner Motorsport will compete in the final race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Nico Bastian is battling for the championship in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) in the No. 904 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The team is aiming for its second consecutive PETN title.

The battle for the top has been tight since the start of the year. At NLS7, the six-hour race, the #904 finished fourth in Cup 2—just 1.587 seconds shy of the podium after 40 laps. At the doubleheader in September, Bastian, Joshua Bednarski, and Tim Scheerbarth went on to take second place in NLS8. A day later, they brought the Porsche home in third place in NLS9 despite a slow puncture. This kept Mühlner in the title race, where only a few points separate the leading teams heading into the finale.

Now what matters is what decides a championship on the Nordschleife: drivers who are fast and push to the limit; a car they can rely on; a setup that works even under changing conditions; and a team that makes the right strategic decision at the right moment. Team Principal Bernhard Mühlner brings a wealth of experience from nearly five decades of motorsports to the table. Technical reliability and meticulous preparation form the foundation on which the #904 aims to make its move at NLS10.

The 24-hour race in Barcelona recently demonstrated that Mühlner can deliver even under pressure to win the title. With its victory in the season finale, the team clinched the championship in the 992 class of the 2026 Michelin 24H SERIES European Series. Scoring 174 out of a maximum of 180 possible points reflects a season of high performance and remarkable consistency. This success gives the team momentum heading into its final challenge at the Nürburgring.

Mühlner Motorsport has 21 championship titles to its name. Among its most defining achievements are the team title in the 1996 Série Internationale Groupe N, the 1997 Endurance Cup, and the 2008 ADAC GT Masters drivers’ title. Last year, the PETN title was added to the list. Now the team aims to continue this success story immediately.

After nine NLS races, the situation is clear: the title is still up for grabs, and the #904 is right in the thick of it. Mühlner Motorsport is heading into the finale on October 10 with one goal: to win and seal the deal.
