We are looking for an experienced workshop manager for our motorsports team—someone with extensive Porsche experience who understands that technical leadership isn’t just about sitting at a desk, but about rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on.
You understand the demands placed on modern Porsche race cars, think in terms of performance, reliability, and life cycles, and at the same time know how important thorough planning is for a smooth and efficient day-to-day workshop operation.
As workshop manager, you’ll serve as the technical point of contact, an organizer, and a role model for your team. You’ll share your knowledge, help your colleagues grow, and take responsibility for ensuring our vehicles are prepared to the highest technical standards.
Your Responsibilities
Technical and organizational management of our workshop
Planning, coordinating, and prioritizing all tasks that arise
Active involvement with our Porsche race cars
Diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and technical preparation of the vehicles
Ensuring the highest quality standards in all work
Leading and supporting the mechanics in day-to-day workshop operations
Sharing your experience and technical knowledge with colleagues
Planning and monitoring maintenance intervals and component lifecycles
Responsibility for the technical durability and performance of our race cars
Analyzing technical problems and developing sustainable solutions
Proactive planning of spare parts, overhauls, and repairs
Coordinating technical measures while adhering to defined budgets
Ensuring a structured, efficient, and reliable workflow
Close collaboration with team management, engineering, and the racing team
Your Profile
You are an experienced mechanic, ideally with many years of experience working on Porsche road and race cars, and you want to apply your knowledge and experience in a responsible leadership role.
At the same time, you want to continue working on the vehicles yourself. For you, workshop management means not only planning and organization, but also being present in the workshop, having a detailed technical understanding, and being willing to work with the team to find solutions.
Ideally, you have:
Several years of professional experience as a Porsche mechanic or motorsports mechanic
Very good knowledge of Porsche vehicle technology
Experience with race cars and motorsport-specific requirements
A high level of technical understanding and strong problem-solving skills
Experience in organizing and managing a workshop or a team of mechanics
A structured and proactive approach to work
Strong sense of quality and responsibility
Understanding of performance, reliability, and component lifecycles
Cost awareness and the ability to manage budgets effectively
Willingness to take on responsibility and make decisions
Team spirit and a passion for sharing knowledge
High level of commitment and a strong sense of ownership of your work
What to Expect
You’ll take on a key role in our motorsports team and have a direct impact on the quality, reliability, and performance of our vehicles.
You’ll have the freedom to apply your experience, improve processes, and work with your team to implement the highest technical standards.
For us, it’s not just about a vehicle being fast. It must be fast, reliable, and prepared in a cost-effective manner. Striking this balance between performance, durability, and budget is your responsibility.
We’re not looking for a mere administrator, but for a workshop manager who leads by example: close to the vehicle, close to the team, and with high personal standards for your own work.
If you enjoy being the first one in the shop in the morning, want to make sure everything is prepared for the next day in the evening, and consider motorsports more than just a job, we look forward to getting to know you.
