Podium finishes in GT3 and Cup 3
The #123 Porsche 911 GT3 R finished third in the SP9 Pro-Am class and eleventh overall, while the #999 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport also made it onto the podium with a third-place finish in Cup 3.
With a large contingent of cars, Mühlner Motorsport took on one of the greatest challenges in international endurance racing from May 14 to 17. In addition to the H&R-supported Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo26 with start number #123, the team fielded two Porsche 911 GT3 Cups with start numbers #918 and #904, as well as the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport #999.
In the #123 GT3 car, Martin Rump, Ben Bünnagel, and Alexander Brundle shared the cockpit. Even during the practice and qualifying sessions, it became clear that Mühlner Motorsport’s new GT3 package was competitive even when pitted directly against internationally established GT3 teams.
In the race, the trio impressively confirmed this potential. Over the entire distance, the #123 held its own in the high-caliber field of GT3 cars and completed 153 race laps. After 24 hours, the Porsche finished eleventh overall and third in the SP9 Pro-Am class. Mühlner Motorsport thus immediately secured a podium finish with the new Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo26 at the most important endurance race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Pole Position and Strong Performance with the #918
In the Cup 2 category as well, Mühlner Motorsport was among the fastest teams right from the start.
Tim Scheerbarth, Nick Salewsky, Michael Rebhan, and Michelle Gatting took to the track in the #918 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The quartet made a strong impression as early as qualifying, securing pole position in the Cup 2 class.
In the race, the #918 confirmed its speed and was among the dominant cars in the category for much of the race. The Porsche completed 123 laps but, following the race’s premature end, did not reach the distance required for classification.
The result therefore hardly reflects the potential the team had demonstrated this weekend.
#904 Crosses the Finish Line with a Valuable Cup 2 Result
The second Porsche 911 GT3 Cup from Mühlner Motorsport, bearing the #904, was driven by Antal Zsigo, Adam Benko, Csaba Walter, and Moritz Kranz.
The quartet focused throughout the entire race on a controlled and error-free endurance run. After completing 145 laps, the #904 finished 21st overall and fourth in the Cup 2 category.
In the AM classification, this result also meant second place.
Cayman #999 Takes the Cup 3 Podium
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport with start number #999 provided another highlight.
Christopher Rink, Kai Riemer, and Matthias Beckwermert shared the cockpit of the H&R-supported Cayman in the Cup 3 category.
The car’s competitiveness was already evident during the qualifying sessions. In combined qualifying, the #999 secured a strong starting position within the Cup 3 class with a best time of 9:16.301 minutes.
During the race, the drivers’ experience, the Porsche’s reliability, and the team’s consistent effort paid off.
While numerous cars struggled to keep up with the high pace and extraordinary demands of a 24-hour race on the Nordschleife, the #999 consistently completed its laps.
After 138 race laps and more than 24 hours of racing, the Cayman was classified in 31st place overall.
Even more important from Mühlner Motorsport’s perspective: With this result, Rink, Riemer, and Beckwermert secured third place in the Cup 3 class, marking the team’s second class podium finish at the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours.
The Cayman’s success also holds special significance for Mühlner Motorsport. The team’s history on the Nürburgring Nordschleife is closely tied to the Porsche Cayman models. In previous years, the team had already won numerous races and championships in the Cayman Trophy and Cup 3, respectively.
This latest podium finish at the 24-hour race adds another chapter to this success story.
Four cars – two podiums
This makes the results of the 2026 24 Hours of Nürburgring exceptionally positive for Mühlner Motorsport:
The #123 Porsche 911 GT3 R finished third in the SP9 Pro-Am class and eleventh overall.
The #999 Porsche Cayman finished third in the Cup 3 category.
The #904 finished the race in fourth place in Cup 2 and second in the AM classification.
And the #918 impressively demonstrated its speed with the Cup 2 pole position and a strong race pace, even though the car did not reach the finish line.
This overall performance is crucial, especially in a race like the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. Four different cars had to be prepared and tuned over several days and managed simultaneously during the race. Strategy, pit stops, driver changes, and technical support ran around the clock.
Two class podium finishes, an eleventh-place overall finish, and a class pole position underscore the strength of the entire Mühlner Motorsport package.
For the team from the Belgian Ardennes, the weekend once again confirms a philosophy that has defined Mühlner Motorsport for decades:
Speed is a prerequisite—but it is reliability, strategy, teamwork, and uncompromising preparation that ultimately decide endurance races.
Mühlner Motorsport – Maximum Attack, Maximum Endurance.
